Upper GI Results

I got a call from the Dr's office today telling me to watch out for Abdominal pain. The "hose" leading from my port to the band itself has "moved" or drifted a bit. They had it happen with another patient (not theirs) and it got wrapped around her bowels. My hose was nowhere near that but they wanted to warn me. IF it causes any pain I need to get to their Hospital right away and they'll look at it again. It's nothing to worry about. Just be aware.

Blood Results

My labs showed a drastically low level of Vit D, Iron and Folic acid. So the Dr put me on a high dose of all of them for the next 3-6 months then I have to redo the blood panel. I'll be eating more pills than food. Sheesh. The pills are small but I still get nervous about whether they'll get stuck or not. We'll find out. Other than that and having some low good cholesterol I was fine and healthy. We are getting that elliptical soon. I need to work out. I dont. I hate it. By the time Im in the mood to exercise its dark or raining. Oh I did lose those last 3 pounds that have been hanging around. :)

Unfill and Check up

I went in for my yearly visit to the Surgeon. Other than some minor vitamin deficiencies I am healthy. He was pleased. I did have them back out .2cc's from the band so I can get more liquids in. I hope that helps. I discussed reconstruction and was told to make a consultation appointment when I am ready. I have to check with my insurance company to see what they cover and lose another 30-40lbs. So there are my goals.....

Pissed off

Food is pissing me off lately. I think Im too tight but I dont think they'll take some fluid out. It's been long enough since I had it filled that to unfill it now seems silly. But I am SO tight in the mornings that it's rare for me to get enough liquids in until nearly lunch. I cant take my vitamins until well after lunch either. Fills me up too fast. Im regurging more than I should be and the weightloss has stalled completely. I'm not exercising either. Lazy me. We're buying an elliptical soon. I just want to be able to eat and not have to regurge. Im either eating too much or foods that dont agree. I cant tell.

Upper GI

Im having my once a year upper GI on Jan 22nd. EWWWWW! I hate drinking that stuff...its nasty! I have to go down there without eating or drinking...drink that shite and then stand in front of their xray doohickie. Tastes like paste and makes me gag.

Fiber is your Friend

I've never had issues due to lack of fiber. I LOVE fruits and veggies. But since I have to eat so much protein it's hard to eat enough to balance it out. Let's just say that glycerine Suppositories are sometimes necessary... but they dont always help. I had a horrible bout this weekend that totally RUINED my weekend. I was in so much discomfort and my sweet and wonderful husband had to help me administer something to take care of it. I'll leave it at that. It's just too humiliating to fully disclose. Im sure you can figure it out. So once I felt better I promptly went out and bought some tasteless fiber powder and am forcing myself to put it in my morning protein shake. I just need some better recipes

Ham On

Ate ham for dinner on Monday night. It didn't go down well. Turns out I had several pieces stuck over night. I know because they all came up on Tues just before noon. I wasn't able to eat much before that. I drank some but that only caused me to kick up more ham. Ok it was turkey ham so that might be part of the problem. So Tues I took it easy foodwise. Today Im ok. Now I have to play catch up with protein. Sighs

I Want Candy!

I want candy....lol, those are song lyrics but it also fits this time of year doesnt it? I waited until the day before Halloween to buy candy. That way we won't eat as much of it. AND on top of that the girls aren't Trick or Treating so once we give away our candy there won't be more replacing it. Yay! Wait, yay? Ok I"ll keep SOME candy...Im not retarded!
